Si hubiéramos comenzado el año guardando mil dólares bajo el colchón, hoy estaríamos ganando más de 400 soles al cambio. Una ganancia que supera por mucho los intereses que paga un banco o el crecimiento de tu fondo de una AFP en menos de un año. ¿Por qué sube tanto el dólar? En simple: salen más dólares de los que entran (ya puedes intuir su reversión). Veamos el efecto negativo, en vez de haber tenido los dólares para guardar, los debías como alquiler.  Hoy tu alquiler habría aumentado 400 soles.

Como ven un dólar alto trae ganadores y perdedores.  Aquí cinco recomendaciones ante un dólar alto: 

  1. Relaciona tus ingresos y tus deudas. Si tus ingresos son en soles busca siempre comprar servicios o bienes que sean de la misma moneda, sobre todo si significan pagos constantes. Si mantienes deudas en una moneda diferente a la de tu ingreso considera realizar un cambio de moneda con la institución financiera. Esto elimina el riesgo en su cambio manteniendo tu cuota fija sin darte esperanzas de ganar y quitándote el miedo de perder.  
  2. Busca ahorro. Algunos productos subirán sus precios por el uso del dólar en su fabricación y, por lo tanto, pagarás más por lo mismo. Trata de reemplazar esos productos por sustitutos más económicos que te den igual satisfacción.
  3. No existe el mejor momento. Tratar de ganar algo de soles por el tipo de cambio no tiene mayor beneficio que el riesgo y tiempo que utilizas en tratar de predecir su precio. Realiza cambios de moneda únicamente cuando los necesites.
  4. Ahorra con un motivo. Si ahorras en dólares debes tener una razón detrás: estudios en el exterior, importar un bien o viajar. Si no tienes un motivo, puedes aprovechar los soles extras del cambio en ahorrarlos para tiempos difíciles.
  5. Mantente informado. Si sueles usar tanto el dólar cómo el sol en tus finanzas, mantente informado sobre los factores que influyen su precio. Ten en cuenta que el dólar es una moneda que el Perú no puede controlar completamente.

Aunque el precio del dólar es históricamente alto en el Perú seguimos siendo el país con menor subida en los últimos 20 años en américa latina. Si fuéramos Argentina un dólar nos costaría más de 90 veces y como Venezuela, tendríamos que ser millonarios para comprarlos.

Mantengamos la calma y seamos responsables con nuestro dinero sin caer en especulaciones.
